AADGT International Young Musician Competition “Passion of Music 2009”
Winners' Concert at Merkin Concert Hall (New York) * May 24, 2009 at 2PM

Eligibility & Repertoire

* The Competition is open to students from age 5 to 18
   including instrumentalists, piano ensembles (one piano with
   four or six hands) and chamber ensembles in the 7 age
   categories

* Participants of the Competition may perform two pieces,
each of different character, from the standard repertoire.

* Single movements from sonatas are acceptable (except slow
   movements).

   Audition Rules

   * All contestants must perform from memory.
   * In the Ensemble category the music does not have to be
      memorized and arrangements are welcomed
   * No repeats.
   * Judges comments will not be disclosed.
   * Audition's DVD will not be returned
   * All contestants except pianists must provide his/her
      accompanist
   * The final selection of winners will be based solely on the
      DVD recordings submitted.

How to Apply

Applications and audition DVD must be postmarked no later than March 23, 2009

A contestant must to submit following documents:

* Application form

* Proof of Age (one copy of passport or a birth certificate)
* Contestant's photo (Write your name on the back).
* DVD of contestant's audition performance (DVD should be a
   fair representation of the Contestant's abilities, but isn't
   required to be of professional quality)
* DVD must be clearly labeled with your name
* DVD must be free of background noise
* Non-Refundable registration fee $60 (make checks or money
   orders payable to AADGT)
* Applications and audition DVD must be postmarked no later
than March 23, 2009

    Awards

    For each age group:

    * Gold medal and Laureate Certificate
    * Silver medal and Diplomante Certificate
    * Honorable mention diploma

    Only Gold or Silver Medals winners will be invited to
    perform at the Recital Winners' Concert at Merkin Hall.

    Each Winners' Concert performer will received five (5)
    complementary tickets for the concert.
